Made Conjures Dragons Workshop and Showcase

Produced by Poetry Is Productions in collaboration with the Naropa New Works Cabaret. Please contact Ellie Swensson for more information at boulderwriterswarehouse@gmail.com

Join Poetry Is for a day of on-your-feet workshopping of a brand new improvised musical!
Artistic Director Robert Eric Shoemaker has created a new telling of the Medea myth that recalls current events as well as timeless elements including magic and witchcraft. Plus, "medea conjures dragons" is a musical, sung elements to be improvised in rehearsal!
This workshop provides a platform for the piece to get to its feet, culminating in a showcase alongside Naropa's performance and theatre artists.
Participants will collaborate in a 2 hour developmental rehearsal involving movement, vocals, and text. See schedule below for more information.
Please contact Eric (robertericshoemaker@gmail.com) if you would like to be involved with either/both the "medea" workshop or the cabaret showcase. Note: joining the Facebook event DOES NOT secure your spot, so you need to email Eric.

Poetry Is welcomes submissions from designers and tech folks for our production of "medea conjures dragons" later this year! We are in need of an Assistant Director, Music/Sound Designer, Stage Manager, Props Designer, Production Manager, Lighting Designer, and Costume Designer.
